The GPU Daily · #092 · covering Tuesday 13 October
The physical layer of AI, every day. Here's what moved on Tuesday 13 October 2026.
An OpenAI employee was arrested after the FBI said a listening device was found in a company conference room.
Livemint carried the report, with the FBI and OpenAI both confirming it, and 21 outlets ran the story. Markets had a bad day of their own. Kospi fell more than 7% and SK Hynix lost 8.8% after a report about a rival memory chipmaker in China.
The boom was priced as a certainty.
Now one report has made it a contest.

The index had crossed 9,000 and hit an all-time high in June on the back of the AI boom.
